There are many ways to connect you Local Area Network to the Internet, some of the solutions that we offer are listed below. The costs for these solutions vary and are really dependent on your requirements, i.e. speed of the connection, number of users, whether you require a permanent connection etc. Some services may be dependent on your location, whilst other connections can be ruled out due to the costs. If you want to discuss your requirements in more detail, please contact us, so that the right connection for your company can be implemented.
ISDN Solutions - (Integrated Services Digital Network)
There are several options available when an ISDN line is installed in your company, an ISDN router can be implemented, which would allow all users to connect to the Internet, or an ISDN card can be implemented into an individual PC or server. The speed of ISDN is limited, so if you have a lot of users or are downloading large files from the Internet, ISDN may not be the best solution for you.
ISDN normally has 2 channels, each at 64kbps. Depending on the ISP that you connect to, it is possible to 'bind' the 2 channels together to create one connection at 128kbps, thus increasing the speed of your connection.
ISDN is charged per second, so that when you are connected to the Internet, you are being billed, if your company is connected for most of the day, this could become an expensive solution.
Broadband
ADSL utilises existing copper phone lines (the local loop) to bring high speed, 'always on' connectivity to users.
ADSL can provide a high speed Internet connection for multiple users, it is available in three versions with differing download speeds.

Leased Lines
Leased line connections are permanent lines, normally connected directly to you ISP. These normally start at 64kbps and can go as high as 20Mbps. Leased line connections are 'always on', and offer the same download and upload speeds. They can be very efficient and can offer flexibility for future growth and expansion.
Prices for leased lines depend on your location and the distance from the ISP, so will vary from customer to customer.
