We can supply anything from small peer-to-peer network solutions to larger client/server based networks. Peer-to-peer networks are where each PC or workstation has the equivalent capabilities and responsibilities. This differs from client/server technologies, in which some computers are dedicated to serving the others. Peer-to-peer networks are generally simpler and less expensive, but they usually do not offer the same performance when there are high network loads or when there are a large number of PC's connected. Client/server networks are where each computer on the network is either a client or a server. Clients are PC's or workstations on which users run applications. All of the clients rely on servers for resources, such as files, devices and even processing power. Servers are powerful computers dedicated to managing disk drives, printers and/or network traffic. Client/server networks are also known as two-tier architectures. Both peer-to-peer and client/server networks are widely used, each has unique advantages and disadvantages. We can offer a wide variety of networking services, some of which are listed below.

Network Operating Systems
We have extensive knowledge of a variety of different networking operating systems. Peer to peer networks use the PC or workstation operating system, which could be Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP. Microsoft has built in the relevant functionality into each operating system for both peer to peer and client/server based networks. Each PC or server requires a network card to connect the physical cables and the relevant network protocols installed and configured. Client/server based operating systems we cover include Novell, Windows NT 3.x, 4, 2000 and 2003. The clients can be running a variety of different operating systems to connect to the server.
